We work in medtech — which includes working with hospitals, clinics and healthcare professionals who rely on us for institutional sensitive information or professional vulnerability. We do not take our users’ trust lightly.

What Information We Collect

We only collect what is absolutely necessary. This is a few categories in one:

Personal- Being your name, designation, organization, email address in case you fill out a contact form for a quote or when making an order or asking us something by contacting details.

Regulatory & Institutional Information: In cases where the purchase of a regulated medical device necessitates this, we may require confirmation of institutional affiliation, proof that you are medically registered or procurement authorisation. This is not optional — it is compulsory according to the law in India.

Orders and Transaction Records: Details about your invoices, shipping addresses, payment confirmations along with any other correspondence related to the specific purchases.

Web usage data: such as IP address, well – your browser and the pages you visit are all basic technical information. This is done with tools part of our analytics pack that helps us to improve the website.

Why We Collect It

The information we collect is used for the following reasons and no other:

  • To process your orders and deliver another right one.
  • To ensure compliance with Medical Devices Rules, 2017 and Drugs and Cosmetics Act,1940 wherever applicable.
  • To follow up and arrange for installation visits to handle service requests.
  • To provide information about relevant issues affecting your purchase — working with equipment you have purchased from us, for instance product updates and safety notices or regulatory changes.

For the purpose of complying with financial and business recording requirements as mandated under Indian taxation & commercial law.

We never profile you for advertisements and we do not sell your data to anyone.

A Note on Patient Information

Sometimes, the client will give context about what type of ward or volume of patients at the clinical setting where this equipment is going to be used — the specifics around who [will] use (or) get treated with this. This assists in providing the right product recommendation. It should also be noted that none of the actual patient health data at Ambamedinex is identifiable as a person. Any incidental sharing of this kind is treated as strictly confidential, and will never be stored beyond that dialogue.

Who We Share Your Data With

Your information only leaves Ambamedinex in the following narrow circumstances:

Logistics partners — to process deliveries and monitor shipments for you.

Authorised service engineers, they need to visit your site for an installation or calibration/warranty service.

Regulatory authorities — the CDSCO or other government agencies, where required by law.

Legal requirements — if we are compelled to comply with a legally valid court order or government directive.

In every case, however, we share the least amount of information necessary.

How We Protect Your Data

We have implemented reasonable technical protection measures to protect the information we hold — for example, access controls, encrypted communications and internal policies covering data handling. Confidentiality training is provided to staff who interact with client data.

That said, no internet socket system is bulletproof secure. Please do not disclose personal information through an unverified/unsecured channel.

How Long Do We Keep Your Data

Most records associated with medical device transactions are maintained for a minimum of seven years per regulatory guidelines.
